Who does What?

Craig McLean Chiropractor and Co-founder of Chiro. London joins Fulham Social Hub founders Zara & Melinda for episode 2 of a new series of "Fulham Chronicles". In the podcast's new home, Blueprint Studios London, they find out how Craig became a chiropractor and hear about his journey from Australia to West London. 
 
Since 2016 Chiro. Building Foundations

 We're back! Dr Simi Wang joins Fulham Social Hub founders Zara & Melinda for the start of a new series of "Fulham Chronicles". In the podcast's new home, Blueprint Studios London, the conversation covers the impact of AI, education and how First Class Learning can help unlock a child's full potential. 
 
Dr Simi Wang has a PhD in Artificial Intelligence, experience as a school governor and a Father.  This knowledge gives him a unique skill set as manager of the First Class Learning centre in Fulham. Weekly sessions, held at Cass Halls Parsons Green, provide tailored learning plans for every child, targeting specific areas for improvement.  The aim is to build a solid foundation in English and Maths and a genuine love of learning, so every child can progress confidently and at their own pace.

All round talented woman

Hazel Evinson Leach moved to Fulham in 1961 and is still an SW6 resident.  Hazel joins Fulham Social Hub founders Zara & Melinda, in the VOXPOD Studios at Parsons Green, to talk about Fulham life in the 60s, the changes she's seen, what she misses and how following a career as a ballet dancer she became a potter. 
 
Hazel is the longest standing member of the Society of Fulham Artists & Potters (SOFAP) which was founded in 1953 to showcase work by artists living in the area during Coronation year.  The society has since grown with the next generation of artists and potters joining and exhibiting their work.  You can discover art by local artists and depictions of Fulham at their pop up, currently situated on the first floor of the shopping centre at Fulham Broadway.

The Ripple Effect

Mike McSweeney, CEO of Fulham FC Foundation, joins Fulham Social Hub founders Zara & Melinda in the VOXPOD Studios at Parsons Green.  Mike's career in sports began at Fulham FC, ten years later he moved to the Lawn Tennis Association and, after volunteering for the Foundation from day one, he returned to join the Fulham FC Foundation in his current role as CEO.

Wow this is it!

Contemporary fine jewellery designer, and Fulham resident, Jessica Pass takes a break from her Parsons Green studio to join Zara & Melinda in the VOXPOD studio.  The conversation begins with tales of Jessica's childhood growing up in the peak district where she was inspired by nature.   
 
Jessica talks about how she found her way into jewellery design, starting with bench space in an Oxfordshire barn, to creating bold pieces inspired by the natural world and collaborating with clients on bespoke commissions. Jessica also holds classes in her Parsons Green studio where beginners can learn how to make their own jewellery.

Communication fascinates me

In this episode of Fulham Chronicles, Fulham Social Hub founders Zara & Melinda talk to journalist, communications and PR expert Priscilla Pollara.   
 
The conversation includes Priscilla's teen memories of living in the heart of SW6 and moves onto how she found her way into journalism writing for several British newspapers.  Whilst writing about kitchen table entrepreneurs for a national newspaper her journalist's eye led her to found communications consultancy Top Trick. This consultancy continues to support small businesses and has grown to help larger firms with reputation management, corporate training, PR workshops, speech writing and more.
