The Ripple Effect

Mike McSweeney, CEO of Fulham FC Foundation, joins Fulham Social Hub founders Zara & Melinda in the VOXPOD Studios at Parsons Green.  Mike's career in sports began at Fulham FC, ten years later he moved to the Lawn Tennis Association and, after volunteering for the Foundation from day one, he returned to join the Fulham FC Foundation in his current role as CEO.

Wow this is it!

Contemporary fine jewellery designer, and Fulham resident, Jessica Pass takes a break from her Parsons Green studio to join Zara & Melinda in the VOXPOD studio.  The conversation begins with tales of Jessica's childhood growing up in the peak district where she was inspired by nature.   
 
Jessica talks about how she found her way into jewellery design, starting with bench space in an Oxfordshire barn, to creating bold pieces inspired by the natural world and collaborating with clients on bespoke commissions. Jessica also holds classes in her Parsons Green studio where beginners can learn how to make their own jewellery.

Communication fascinates me

The conversation includes Priscilla's teen memories of living in the heart of SW6 and moves onto how she found her way into journalism writing for several British newspapers.  Whilst writing about kitchen table entrepreneurs for a national newspaper her journalist's eye led her to found communications consultancy Top Trick. This consultancy continues to support small businesses and has grown to help larger firms with reputation management, corporate training, PR workshops, speech writing and more.

From banking to baking

We respond to need

In this episode of Fulham Chronicles Zara & Melinda meet Jackie Lee, Chairman of The Daisy Trust. This volunteer-run charity based in SW6 has supported the Hammersmith and Fulham community for over 40 years. 
 
Despite Fulham being located in a relatively wealthy borough, in one of the richest cities in the world, inequalities persist. Hear about the ways The Daisy Trust supports their beneficiaries, works to relieve the shockingly high statistic of 27.7% of children in H&F living in poverty and how granting funds for a small need can make a big difference.

Everybody Can Dance
